Privacy & cookies

Your text stays on your device

The hashtag counter processes captions and hashtags in your browser. We do not upload, store or use the text you enter, or send it to Google Analytics or AdSense. Copy buttons use your clipboard only when you choose to copy.

Site visits and security

Our hosting provider may record routine access and security logs, including IP addresses, requested pages and browser information, to operate and protect the website.

Google Analytics

With your analytics consent, we use Google Analytics to understand visits and improve the website. This can include pages viewed, device and browser information, and approximate location. It does not include the captions or hashtags you enter. Analytics remains off until you give the required consent.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to support this free tool. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and, where you consent, personalise advertising. The Google consent message explains the available choices and participating providers. Refusing analytics consent does not prevent you from using the counter.

You can review or withdraw your choices using the cookie or privacy settings link in the footer. You can also manage cookies through your browser. Withdrawing consent affects future processing; clearing existing cookies may require your browser settings.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy for its processing and international data transfer information.
